Well, Dustin and I are gearing up for a fantastic weekend ourselves, and while pictures may be taken, I promise not to post any of them!!

Weekend - Getaway

Tomorrow we (Dan, Doris, Jennifer and I) will be leaving for a overdue weekend getaway cruise to Nassau.

I will post pics to the blog when I can.

Can it be true? A dog in the Drummond House?

Have you heard that there was almost a new addition to the family? Straight from the cold and lonely streets it would have been fitting for the Drummond household. And who could resist how adorable he is. It wouldn't be "much" work. It would be the pit-chow we have always wanted. :)

Be sure to check out Doug and Jessica's new blog. It is looking really good.

Now...where's yours? If you haven't done so already, setup an account at Blogger.com. Drop me a line and I'll add you as a contributor on MyDrummond.com. Also, go ahead and setup your own, like D&J have. Think of your blog as your digital scrapbook.

Correction

I don't mind being a snob, just so long as we're all clear on the definition.
Snob (noun) REVISED: A person who has little patience for a lack of effort or ignorance.

Ode to Corn

Is there no dish,
That couldn't use just a bit,
Whole kernel or cream,
Corn makes it extreme.

Lasagna to meatballs,
Apple Pie to pork roast,
Without the help of corn,
It would all taste like toast.

Whoops. error on my part,
Toast is a bad sample,
Because inside our house,
Toast and corn is a staple.

Marshmallows can try,
but they just can't compare,
They just turn to mush,
When corn is always there.

What does is matter,
Eight cans or thirty,
In less than six hours,
We'll need just as many.

Lost: Craigcat

Dan and his Craigcat
Originally uploaded by jking89
Sometime during 2007 our Craigcat catamaran went missing. It was last seen in the garage, but it has not been actually "seen" in months.

It is white, with a blue bimini and works great as a storage device.

If you have an idea of the whereabouts of our missing craigcat, please contact Dan.

Thank you for your support.

Dan trying to mow the water

While the mowing width of the standard line trimmer is far shorter than that of riding lawnmower, one must never underestimate its usefulness in some situations...

Until Craftsman comes out with their amphibious lawn tractor, areas directly adjacent to bodies of water should probably be manicured with a smaller, more agile device.

Let us all learn from Dan.
