Doris had a door decorating contest at work this year. And I went with here to help do the door. She had the cutest idea to do santa peeking out of the fireplace and a Christmas tree. Here are pictures of the doors. (Still waiting to see who won though)

Those are really cute ideas. In my family, we use to have these huge Mahogany doors in the house and we had done something similar to what you have pictured here. We use to hang stocking from some (with the fireplace decorations), make door runners to hold Christmas cars, and sometimes made wreaths from stuff around the house. They're really fun DIY projects!
